Journeying Inward: Finding Freedom in Solitude
Journey into finding freedom in solitude and learn how to navigate life-altering decisions that prioritize the well-being of your peace and soul from my personal journey. In this blog, I write about the silent battle within, the decisions that set you free, the reality of lonely transformation, and finding strength and hope in solitude.
Hello! It’s Me.
In the journey of self-discovery, there are moments when we stumble upon profound truths that reshape our perspective. This summer, I rode the rollercoaster of life with all its exhilarating highs and gut-wrenching lows. It was a season of breaking down but also a season of rebuilding, and through it all, I am uncovering lessons that are too valuable not to share.
The Big Picture - Life Update
Life update, sharing from the heart. I share what has taken up my time from the blog and what I’m up to these days. As well as what struggles I am facing, and what I see down the road.
Gratefully Ever After
In this world, there is no happily ever after, but God’s love is beautiful and perfect. And that’s enough. We learn to live anchored to the trustworthy character of God.
Even Though
Even though things didn't immediately change for Habakkuk to worship and acknowledge God’s goodness, in the midst of his pleading prayers it turned to worship!
But Take Heart
We must keep our eyes on Jesus. I feel like we have resorted to this as the last hope. And actually even going a step further and bypassing it all together! Reading things like "we don't need thoughts & prayers” is disheartening. Have we lost all hope in God? Do we really think we can fix what is wrong in this world or with people?
The Loving God Part
This is part two of Eternity Starts Now, with the focus on loving God. Hoping to bring perspective to anyone who may be struggling with genuinely loving & trusting God.
Eternity Starts Now
I wanted to share something that I’ve been thinking a lot about lately: living on mission. Our mission is here on earth, and it is a simple one: love God and love people. So what does eternity have to do with love?
A Graceful Reminder
It’s a gentle, “Hey Carmen, get your mind back on acknowledging that Jesus is here with you.” How easily we are distracted from what He can do. But if we rely on Him, we have the wisdom & peace to face anything.
God of Wonders
When our difficulties are so complicated, it is so easy to overlook that He is almighty. How quickly we allow ourselves to forget this because of the weight of the burden. But, today I want to remind you that God is a God of wonders! When it is out of your control, He still is in full control! Praise God for that!
Fearfully & Wonderfully
What is our purpose in life? This is the big question of life! It has had me thinking, and I wanted to share a special link if you have been asking yourself this lately.
Not Knowing Where
Sometimes we want the whole picture before we start to put things into action, but it just begins with those little steps, and sooner or later, you see His purpose begin to come together.
Take a Walk on the Positive Side
Staying positive even when things aren’t perfect is harder than it seems. But it doesn’t have to be. Staying thankful and turning our focus on Jesus is the key, because we don’t need perfection in this world to be thankful.
It was because of grace.
If we deserved it, it wouldn't be grace. Gratitude puts your focus on who was there and how far you have come, and grace emphasizes forgiveness for those who weren’t there.
My End Is His Beginning
Psalm 37:7a says, surrender yourselves to the Lord and wait patiently for Him. Surrender and patience in the same sentence is requesting a lot if you think about it. But there is hope in the waiting, and what God wants to do is more than we could imagine.
Growing in Faith
I want my faith to show how much I believe in the power of God, but I also want to consider that what I'm asking for may not be in God's great plan. Trusting God, in the waiting, and with the outcome.
Like A Garden
God’s love is like springtime, the comparison is a beautiful one. All seasons hold their own beauty. Learning now to navigate through each season with the help of God.
Know God, Know Peace
It's His peace; that is what I have rested so profoundly on. When the doubt, the fear, the worry creeps in, I ask the Lord to give me His peace. Our urgent need is spiritual, and only God can provide us with that.
The Mind The Path
The things I have overcome are intended to teach me to trust God, build my character (Romans 5:3-4), and accomplish God's purpose.
