The truth will set you free, but first, you have to know the truth. What is the truth we are believing? Is it backed up by scripture or is it identities we have adopted because of our life experiences? The power of God’s truth can set us free. The key is knowing the truth and replacing those self-sabotaging thoughts about ourselves.

Slowing down really challenges us to put our trust and hope in Jesus and His timing for everything.

Happy Valentine’s Day, friends! I hope you are feeling the love today (and always). However, I know sometimes it can hard to celebrate something that somehow feels like a void in your life. For whatever reason or experience you may have had. But, I just wanted to give these words of encouragement for anyone not feeling Valentine’s Day.

Why are we so hard on ourselves, and why do we struggle with accepting how God made us. God created us to please him, not each other. So why do we struggle?

Whenever you begin to feel insufficient, remember that God crowns you with a beautiful, unique identity. This identity is not one we find in the pleasures and things of this world, but one we only find in the word of God.

For a long time, I thought, well, I'm doing all the right things. I love God, and I take care of my family; what about my wants, my "yo quiero," as my pastor so humorously puts it.

Maybe for you, there have been some life experiences that have gone unhealed. I pray that God brings clarity and reveals things to you on a personal level.
