God of Wonders
It's crazy we are mid-September; where has this month gone! It's been a busy start of the month, and I'm finally taking some time to write.
As these past couple of weeks have rolled on by (full of the day-to-day stuff), I sat Wednesday evening at prayer & worship gathering feeling burdened. This season has begun loaded, from new routines with the kiddos to starting new things and everything in between. I sat there and just took in a moment of being still. And I had this thought as I tried to block everything out at that moment: God is a God of wonders.
Has God ever left you speechless and in awe of something that seemed impossible.
Maybe you're in the middle of something, and all you have is hope, trusting God to make it all work out somehow.
Or maybe something has happened, and you're still trying to process the why behind it.
I thought, God is amazing. When our difficulties are so complicated, it is so easy to overlook that He is almighty. How I quickly allow myself to forget this because of the weight of the burdens. But I was reminded as I sat there that God works in mysterious ways. While I don't feel confident and capable, He reminds me that it is Him in me. God is my strength. And while I don't know how everything will work out, God reminds me that He already has it under control.
So what's left for me to do? Well, I think it's the more challenging part, which is to trust. Trust that He is indeed a God of wonders. I can sing His praises because He is in authority, and He is all-knowing.
Maybe there is something you feel burdened about; trust God. Remember that He works in mysterious ways. Things may be out of our control but not out of the control of God. He is indeed a God of wonders.
Matthew 11:28-30
28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
